Facilities

Lincs Throws Academy has a number of sites for training. The winter months Bourne Leisure Centre, Lincolnshire is used for shot put & discus sessions. When the weather becomes better a private throws area based at Stoke Rochford Hall based near Grantham, Lincolnshire is used. Additional sessions may take place at the Peterborough track. Olympic lifting sessions are held at Rhino's gymnasium in Stamford, Lincs.

Facility 1. Bourne Leisure Centre - 
 
Serving the community Bourne Leisure Centre is a self sufficient sports facility with space for shot and discus circles to be set out for a large group of athletes. Winter throwing sessions are held here as well as UKA approved indoor shot competitions that are graded to allow athletes to compete without having to travel far a field. There are changing rooms, cafe and other facilities for the family to enjoy whilst your athletes are training with us such as a gym and a swimming pool.

 

 

Facility 2. Rhino's Gym

Rhino's Gymnasium Elite Sports and Conditioning is located on the north-east outskirts of Stamford, Lincolnshire on Gwash Way Industrial Estate on Ryhall Road (Opposite Jewsons/Travis Perkins). The Lincs Throws Academy have a special reduced session rate thanks to their support of our members.

 

Rhino's Gymnasium Elite Sports and Conditioning is the best equipped gym in the area, it's a great overall body conditioning gymn with superb services and facilities, with a huge 14,000sqft facility catering for everyones needs!

 

Rhino's meets the demands of Elite athletes as there is a wide range of Olympic and multi functional equipment. Throwers & power-lifters train here on a regular basis three days per week.

Facility 3. Stoke Rochford Hall
Based on the A1 near Grantham this impressive facility provides a fantastic setting for our throwers. Based in the impressive grounds the Academy has a self purpose shot sector within the leisure area of the estate. Throwers can attend and train with no distractions and a private coaching environment.
